That is the Dejuxtaposed Sub-auxiliary Time Warp Wiring. Unfortunately, the last time it was tinkered with half a baloney sandwich was inadvertently dropped down there and the rats that finished it off decided to start chewing on the cables. Subsequently they are having a bad case of their guts being chronologically out of whack. Hopefully someone will get it fixed soon, and get those rats some pepto-abismal.

Since all the judges were experts on time machines they didn't need me to tell them.
