Here is a sketch I did, of Christ in the Garden of Gethsemene, while I watched Conference. When I keep my hands busy I usually listen better. This time however my mind kept wandering to the fact that I would like to take some drawing classes, especially so I can learn to draw human figures. And when I finished and showed Dan he reaffirmed it by telling me I drew girly features. Maybe I can find a class down near my parents house...

Emaciated, not girlie, emaciated. But I like it. I think you should take some human body drawing classes too. Springville has some nice nude classes.

Nice job. It mad me sad so at least if it looked girlie it evoked the right emotion for what happened in the Garden.

Don't take this the wrong way, but it looks like he's throwing up into a coiled boa constrictor.

Is there a right way to take that?

I can take it, it's way better than girlie.

I found a figure drawing class in American Fork through the community education program, and their nude models are only nude under their swimsuits. I was discussing this with my mother and we started listing all the people who were glad that the models wore swimsuits. First of all my mom, my husband, me, my bishop, Kim, the models, the other people in the class...etcetera etcetera. We had quite the list going. If anyone would like to be added to the list, let me know and I'll pencil you in. Unfortunately, I soon discovered that the brochure of classes I was looking at was for last session and I have yet to find out when the next session begins, and if the bathing suit drawing class is in the schedule.

I think your picture is awesome. So awesome in fact that I stole it and included it in my YW Easter lesson that was pictures from Christ's life put to music. I didn't ask first because if you said no then I'd feel bad doing it anyway. Because I had to use it, it fit perfectly!

Thanks Maryanne, I'm glad it could be useful to you. And thanks to all the others who were kind also, and even thanks to Mike, he's not so bad.
